I capture moments on ordinary walks. A classic car at a crossing. Someone in a summer yukata on a night out. The small scenes a place hands you when you are paying attention. Everything here started as a real moment I was standing in, and I can tell you what was happening just outside the frame.
Then I edit it until it looks the way the moment felt: clean, a little dramatic, never overdone. The original is always mine. The place is always real. The finish is the part I keep experimenting with.
It started in Tokyo, where I spent a long stretch of years and walked the same streets often enough to notice what changed. Cars came first, then people in traditional dress. Australia is next, with more places and subjects to follow.
If something here stops you for a second the way the scene stopped me, that is the whole idea.
